Neurolymphatic Therapy

Neurolymphatic therapy is a fairly new therapy to the world. The Lymphedema Clinic currently has several providers recently certified in neurolymphatic therapy, and several currently working on the certification as well.

Neurolymphatic therapy works by stimulating the pathways from the brains lymphatic system so that they may improve their function. This therapy helps the brain to remove toxins, remove metabolic wastes, and keep amyloid beta & tau proteins regulated (the proteins that are believed to contribute to Alzheimer’s disease). The removal of these items reduces the physical brain fog as well as the mental brain fog. How cool is that?

Anyone can participate in this therapy and benefit from it. Recent studies have shown positive results for post-concussion syndrome, chronic fatigue, cognitive impairments, brain fog, and improving sleep quality. Anecdotally, patients with post-stroke flexor tone have been shown to decrease tone, even after fully completing an in-patient rehabilitation stay without improvements to their tone.
